A pinch of friendship, a dash of timing, and a whole lot of restaurant experience combine to create a recipe for love. Our story began 24 years ago when we were both working in a popular Beverly Hills restaurant. There, we developed a strong professional partnership and solid friendship. When an opportunity took Scott to Seattle, we realized that our feelings for each other were more than managerial, and decided to join forces in the Northwest. In 1995, we tied the knot and traded chilly Washington for sunny Arizona.
After 12 years of working in respected, high volume restaurants and hotels in the Valley, two sons, and one wondrous dog later, it was time for us to hang out our own shingle. Determined to operate as we live… ethically, community conscious and from the heart, Amici Catering was born in 2007.
Together, we have over 60 years in the hospitality industry.
We are dedicated to developing lasting relationships through our shared love and passion for great food. Staying current on industry trends, we pride ourselves on creating delicious food, as well as unique, innovative presentations and service. But more than this, we have a desire to create memorable occasions for our clients.

“Amici” means friendship, and our great friend Miguel Godinez (CFO – Chief Food Officer) has led our culinary team since the beginning. His talent, knowledge, and creativity are the secret ingredients behind Amici. With 35 years experience in restaurant and catering, he brings a fresh, authentic style to our table. Passionate about community and committed to local sourcing, Miguel is an incredible asset to the Amici family.
We have a passion for excellence in life-family, community, and of course delicious food.Previous management experiences with the Disneyland Hotel, Grace Restaurant Group and Cheesecake Factory round out a successful career in the hospitality business.
Lori Harlig has 27 years of experience in the restaurant industry, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Restaurant Administration from Cal Poly Pomona.

It is a responsibility that we take very seriously and we love it.With more than 20 years in management, her restaurant and catering experiences include premier venues such as Palisades, Seattle, Washington; The Boulders Resort, Scottsdale, Arizona ; and Velvet Turtle dinner houses, Southern California. She now brings her strong background in event planning and catering to amici catering.
